House For An Art Lover
The House For An Art Lover is one of Glasgow’s most popular attractions. The Art Nouveau House was designed, originally, by Charles Rennie Mackintosh (with the help of his wife Margaret Macdonald), Glasgow’s most famous architect.
In actual fact the design was an entry for a 1901 competition to create plans for a ‘House for an Art Lover’, however, the entry by the Mackintoshs’ was disqualified from the competition on the grounds that it was submitted late. Luckily, over one hundred years later the house stands in Bellahouston Park because of the efforts and hard work of the architect Professor Andy Macmillan and the engineer Graham Roxburgh. Construction started in nineteen eighty nine, stopped for a short amount of time but restarted in nineteen ninety four due to the collaboration between the Glasgow School of Art and the Glasgow City Council.
The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
The Kelvingrove Art Gallery is one of Scotland’s finest museums and art galleries and where you will find one of the greatest civic art collections in Europe, but also it has been voted one of the most popular free visitor attractions in Scotland.
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is situated on Argyle Street, in the West End of Glasgow, on the banks of the River Kelvin. The gallery was built using the traditional Glaswegian material of red sandstone in a Spanish Baroque style. The gallery was followed the designs of Sir John W. Simpson and E.J. Milner Allen and opened its doors to the public in 1901. The collections of the museum originally came from the old Kelvingrove House Museum and the McLellan Galleries.

Enjoying My Vacation

Every now and then, when I have some time, we leave the town behind and go to the country. We have a little cottage there, nothing too fancy, just enough room for our family, but there is also a garden that makes up for every minute we spend on the road till there. I have my peace and quiet, my wife can relax, and the kids are just happy to have so much space just for themselves.
The problem is that the nearest shop is a little far, and driving back and forth to the store isn’t exactly fun. I wanted to buy a bike, at first, to handle my traveling needs, but I’m a little out of shape and I didn’t think I could handle the ride, if coming back with a lot of stuff. My wife suggested a scooter, one that we could then give to our son, when he grows a little older.
I started looking on the internet for something to suit my needs, but also kept my son in mind. I didn’t want something that would drive too fast, and preferably, not use any gasoline. Everything I looked at was more that I was willing to pay for. Just when I was about to give up, something drew my attention.
The razor pocket mod seemed to be the perfect thing. I wasn’t convinced that something so cheap could be any good, but why not try it, anyway? I ordered it on the Internet, and it arrived in no time, and in one piece, so all I had to do was let it charge over night. Next morning I went shopping on my new Razor electric scooter.
Everything was smooth and I was more than happy with my purchase. My kid saw it and wanted to give it a try too. Even though I was a little concerned at first, he seemed to get the hang of it quickly, and he was driving around the garden in no time. Now he’s bugging me to get something bigger, so I can give this one to him. Kids…
